Helena Clare McLeod is an established international development leader, author, speaker, spiritual coach, and mum. British, she has lived in Indonesia, Fiji, and South Africa and traveled and worked globally. She has dedicated her career to the upliftment of the poorest people in the poorest countries of the world through designing and managing multimillion pound philanthropic funds, on behalf of governments and philanthropists, that also protect the world’s environment. This work requires a deeply logical and strategic brain, as well as emotional intelligence and strong leadership and management skills.
In the Lightseeker’s Way, Helena pursues her twin commitment to empowering people, in a different but equally powerful way, through helping them connect to their own highest guidance.
Clairaudient since her teens she hears Source/God, angels and other celestial beings, as clearly as if they were sitting beside her. A qualified Angel and Ascension teacher, she teaches people how to connect to their own highest guidance, through her books, courses, and social media. She also provides guidance and a global forum for people who want to be lightworkers – spiritual healers – for the planet.
Helena’s motto is ‘Find the platinum lining in every challenge.’ She loves the colour gold and platinum – her Gran always told her – is even more precious than gold. This doesn’t mean her life is always easy – far from it! In the past seven years she has given birth to a joyous, yet severely disabled child, who cannot control his arms or legs, nor speak and has multiple life-threatening episodes, she has experienced a traumatic marriage and divorce, abusive work environment, and navigated acute financial stress.
But Helena believes we have been born onto this planet as a training ground for our souls to learn the lessons they have agreed to attempt in this life. She believes the people and situations that hurt or challenge us the most form the greatest opportunities to develop spiritually. She also believes the experiences of abuse and trauma have been given to her so she can understand what others are going through and share with them how she has remained resilient, thrived and turned them into platinum opportunities.
Helena believes that by working together across the planet in both physical and spiritual ways, we can create a world that is radiant.
Raised in Cornwall, UK, at the foot of Bodmin Moor, aged 18 Helena took a year out from studying to teach English at a university in Kalimantan, Borneo. The experience influenced her life. She witnessed the degradation caused by profligate logging and was also exposed to the psychic abilities and experiences of the students whom she taught and who befriended her. Upon her return to England she studied a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the London School of Economics. She then received a scholarship to study Environmental Economics, at University College London. After graduating with distinction she took up a post in Fiji, as a Senior Natural Resource Economist in the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission. In this role she supported governments in the Pacific to develop sustainable mineral and natural resource policies.
During the three years she spent in the Pacific she began training to be a Ka Huna masseur, a deep spiritual massage from Hawaii, that can release emotions trapped in the body from this life and previous lives.
Back in London, Helena took up a position with the UK government’s Department for International Development. Here she spent the next twelve years. Under Clare Short’s leadership the department set the benchmark for innovation and reform in the international aid and trade architecture, aiming to create a world more inclusive of the poorest people in the world.
After contributing to critical trade agendas including the relaxation of intellectual property rights on life saving drugs, she was posted to South Africa. Here she continued her career in trade, regional economic integration and finding solutions for climate change challenges. The teams she has led and been involved with have helped improve the lives of millions of people in the world.
Whilst in South Africa she studied kinesciology a practice that uses the body’s innate knowledge to heal itself. She also qualified as an Angel and Ascension teacher with the Angel School of Connection. In December 2012 she began channeling The LIghtseekers Manual, Source’s Handbook for the 21st Century. It was in South Africa that she gave birth to two beautiful children, Tariq and Saafi, who both communicated with her psychically from the womb. Saafi was born with cerebral palsy, severe brain damage, that affects his ability to walk, talk, sit and control his limbs. It is through Saafi that Helena has been guided to communicate about the spiritual aspects of disability and to inspire mothers of disabled people on how to thrive with their special children. Helena believes that by working together across the planet in both physical and spiritual ways, we can create a world that is radiant.
