Meeting Your Twin Flame

For many of us we are raised on a diet of romance from fairy tale princes and princesses to Hollywood and Bollywood films and Mills and Boon books. Our heroes and heroines fall hopelessly in love and live happily ever after. Often when we do enjoy that falling in love and tie the knot or settle down together, our love becomes conditional on our partners changing in some way.

We may want them to stop smoking, pick up more around the house, earn more, be at home more, be less irritable, be more expressive, exercise more, exercise less! Often the exact same qualities that we fell in love with become the characteristics we want to change. At the extreme we can become resentful, blaming, angry and disillusioned and this can erode our love.

We are not with our spouses or great loves of our life out of coincidence. We have signed soul contracts before we were born. Often we have a karmic debt to settle for our spouses and partners are our greatest teachers in life. And we may share many lives together. Unconsciously, they help us practive the universal laws of unconditional love to ourselves and others. They give us instrumental lessons of power – how to stand within our power, whole unto ourselves without needing the energy of our partners to make us feel whole.

Do you have a need to be needed? Do you martyr yourself by always putting your loved one and family first because you don’t feel worthy? Do you fear loving fully because of the risk of rejection? Holding yourself back, keeping your love locked tightly inside?
