In my last blog post we talked about how babies choose their parents. In this blog I wanted to share a little of my own journey and provide you with some wonderful tips to guide you in your own maternal journey. When I was pregnant with my first son my intention was to have a smooth birth and experience it naturally with no painkillers, and that’s exactly what I had. Of course I don’t want to ‘birth shame’ here, there is nothing wrong with using painkillers and I’m not asking you to blame yourself if you have difficulty in pregnancy or labour, it happens and some things are beyond our control. But what I want to share with you are some wonderful secrets. Secrets that I discovered both through the practice of kinesiology and through direct communication with my spirit baby that will give you the best chance of the pregnancy and labour you want and deserve.
How To Set Intentions For Pregnancy and Labour.
We don’t get anything in this life if we don’t want it enough and setting intentions is the first step on walking the path we desire. Pregnancy is a new and wonderful stage in your life and approaching it with the right mindset and attitude is absolutely vital. Tell yourself “I will have a smooth and empowering labour” every day. Use the affirmation “I will have a swift, safe, four hour labour,” or a similarly positive affirmation that embodies exactly what you want (not what you don’t want).
I Have Anxieties and Fears Around My Pregnancy How Can I Feel More Positive?
It is totally normal to feel anxious about being pregnant and the process of birth. It doesn’t help that people tell so many horror stories and always like to fixate on the worst aspects rather than the beautiful, empowering and spiritual side of pregnancy. One of the best ways to deal with these fears and anxieties is through writing them down each morning. What works for me is writing an unpunctuated stream of my fears, anxieties and feelings on a piece of paper and then scrunching it up and throwing it in the bin. It is a wonderful way of taking these worries out of your mind so you can feel more at ease during the day. This also creates the mental space we require to focus more clearly on our intention; a smooth and empowering labour.
Where Can I Find Guidance on Having a Smoother and More Mindful Pregnancy and Birth?
In my book Spirit Baby I provide you with all the secrets I’ve discovered for an empowering and spiritual pregnancy and birth experience. Harnessing the power of meditation and your baby’s guardian angel I give you practical advice, exercises, wisdom and poetry I wrote during my pregnancy. I’d also hugely recommend the wonderful book Spirit Babies by Walter Makichen which helped me discover why I hadn’t yet conceived and taught me to reach out to my Spirit Baby and find out why he hadn’t come yet. If you’re still not convinced by the idea of spirit babies you should definitely check Sophie Sander’s excellent write up on her spirit baby experience and mystic languages who provide some absolutely vital information on how spirit babies can guide us when pregnancies don’t go to plan.
Wishing you a wonderful day.
