What Is The Base Or Root Chakra?

Today we work on the powerful Base or Root chakra. This chakra is closely linked to our physical body and our physical health. This meditation will allow us to cleanse, unblock and power this wonderful chakra. This chakra is closely linked to our survival instinct and is the last chakra to form when a baby comes from the spirit world to the physical realm – the root or base chakra is vital to the will to live. This chakra is guarded by archangel Gabriel, who is very important in many religions across the world. I love working with archangel Gabriel and I hope you enjoy working with him/her too (angels have no gender so whatever form they come to you in that’s ok).

How Do I Know If My Chakras Are Functioning Properly?

Our chakras are energy doorways in our bodies. The health of our chakras is integrally linked to our physical bodies, some people can see or even feel these chakras. To check our chakra health we can use a pendulum or a ring on a piece of hair and you can hold it over the chakra point and can observe the way it spins or moves to check if our chakras are flowing healthily, are in flux or even if they are blocked.

Does the Root Chakra Resonate With A Particular Colour?

Often in yogic practices this chakra is said to resonate with the colour red, but this is because those practices work with a younger dimension, such as the 3rd or 5th, whereas I like to try and move straight to the 7th, which is the dimension angels vibrate on. By working at this level we can accelerate our spiritual growth. So, in the 7th dimension the Root chakra resonates with rose gold. There’s lots of gold in the 7th dimension!

What Affirmations Resonate With The Base Chakra?

Chakras also resonate deeply with different affirmations. The affirmation the base or the root resonates with in the 7th dimension is “I AM the support of the World” and it resonates deeply with the colour rose gold. In the 4th dimension we would use the affirmation “I AM supported”. The I AM is so important because we are aligning our self with our highest attention and feeling completely supported. As we move up through the dimensions up to the 7th we find these affirmations be more and more augmented by power. Not power for the sake of power, but the wonderful power we can draw on from the divine to achieve our highest and most divine path.
